BAHAGIA
It's been a year since the last time I blogged. A lot of things had happened in between. One of them made me extremely BAHAGIA. This first single of me, Audrey, and Cantika (GAC) had been such a big hit. So far it is one of our biggest hit. The BAHAGIA music video itself reached a million views on our Vevo Channel (GACVEVO) a week ago. We're so grateful that the song could relate to people from different generations, from our friend's 3-years-old kid, to a 70 years old lady from our church.
I'll tell a little story behind Bahagia. This song is actually the fourth song that we wrote back when we're writing songs for our sophomore album in Sweden. We were planning to make a feel-good song, since we felt really good having new experiences to write and record new music materials with awesome songwriters, producers, and composers from Sweden and the UK.
Workshop with Iggy Strange-dahl and Olof Lindskog was all about having fun. The beat and chord progression making was really fun. All we could remember was jamming to the tune with smiles on our faces. Felt really happy about how the songwriting went, we decided to make song about it. The "bahagia-ia, bahagia-ia-ia" hook was the first part the we decided to put in the song. We knew right away that this song would be one of our favourite.

The three of us then continued the lyric-making ourselves. The feel good tune then turns into a deep conversation between us three. It's ironic that lots of people said that being Bahagia ( happy ) is a simple thing, but still lots of people aren't. So we decided to put our thoughts and wrote what made us happy into a song.

How "Bahagia" looks-like back in March 2014
The day after finishing our thoughts and feelings into a song, we recorded our new jam with the humble Olof Lindskog. Didn't take too long to finish our new baby, "BAHAGIA". All I could remember is how fun the recording session was. It was such a memorable moment for us three.
